Maitane Iruretagoyena is a multidisciplinary Project Manager and Technical Associate at the MIT Media Lab’s City Science group, where she bridges the gap between urban research and global implementation. Her work focuses on maintaining active communication and fostering deep relationships across the City Science Network, ensuring the seamless exchange of projects, events, and initiatives with international partners.
Maitane oversaw the execution of major international exhibitions at the Biennale Architettura (2021) and the Guggenheim Museum (2022), managing a team of researchers and securing significant project funding. She has shared her expertise at prestigious global venues, including the United Nations 58th Commission for Social Development and the MIT Technology Review Climate Tech Conference. Maitane holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Construction and Energy Efficiency, along with degrees in Building Engineering and Technical Architecture from the University of the Basque Country.
