More people are turning to artificial intelligence for instant feedback on everything from relationship advice to daily decisions. Researchers at MIT’s Media Lab say users often prefer AI because it doesn’t judge them the way another person might. But experts warn that this growing dependence — especially among teens — could hinder emotional development.
Pat Pataranutaporn, co-director of MIT Media Lab's Advancing Humans with AI research program, says: "AI should be the bridge, not the replacement of human relationship".
